Chapter One
Deep in the misty mountains of Yunhe County—the undisputed “Wooden Toy Capital of China”—a workshop has been running for over half a century. Behind the name See Well stands the Lee family—three generations, one workshop.
The story begins with the family patriarch, Mr. Lee, a carpenter of few words but remarkable skill in town. In an era when most workshops focused on speed, he chose to focus on patience. He taught himself to read the forest—to understand when a tree was ready, how its grain would behave, and what it would become in the hands of a careful craftsman. He passed this silent wisdom to his son, Jack Lee.
Chapter Two
By his teens, Jack had already mastered the basics of his father's craft and earned a reputation as a skilled young carpenter in town. But he carried a quiet ambition—he wanted to see the wider world and learn how modern, systemized production could elevate their family's art.
In the 1990s, Jack left the mountains and joined a large wooden toy factory in Shenzhen, not as a manager, but as a frontline worker. There, he absorbed every aspect of systematic production—from workflow design to quality control. His natural skill, combined with his father’s training, quickly set him apart. He rose from the workshop floor to Technical Director, earning the trust of clients from Europe and Japan through his relentless pursuit of quality.
